Here you can find details of how our referral process works, as always if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us.
If you or your young person would like to visit our site to see what we have to offer, please call the office to arrange a chat and tour. Please note, that we do ask that you complete our referral paperwork below before you visit us, so that we can tailor the visit to meet your or your young person’s interests and EHCP requirements.
If you do not have an EHCP and are interested in our Post 16 provision (aged 16 – 18) then you do not need to go through the CSW Group and can contact us direct.
If you would like to apply for a place at TST and have an EHCP then you will need to consult with The CSW Group, please see information below.
The Statutory SEN Service works with all young people (0-25) who have an Education Health and Care (EHC) plan. Each young person has an allocated casework officer (CWO) within the SEN team.
When a young person is moving from school into post-16 education it is important the SEN team are told of their plans. This is so they can name the next provision in the EHC plan by the 31st March.
If you are a young person with an EHCP, who is looking to transfer to a post-16 placement, please get in touch with the CSW Group to discuss all the options open to you.
The CSW Group are there to offer you impartial information, advice and guidance (IAG), signpost and help you with referrals to your next placement.
Once you have done this, the CSW Group will then send information about your preference (for your post 16 placement) to the SEN team. Your allocated CWO will then consult with the preferred provider (your preferred placement, for example TST).
If the provider (for example TST), tells the CWO that they can meet your special educational need, then the new setting is named in your EHC plan.
