Learning will mainly be through practical hands on sessions. This qualification will provide learners with the underpinning study skills and introductory vocational knowledge required to progress to further Level 2 study or employment within the area of animal care or other related sectors.

This suite of qualifications has been developed to address the needs of students working at Entry Level. Qualification: OCN LR Skills for Professions in Horticulture, Environmental and Animal Care (Level 1 & 2).
This qualification has been developed to provide a flexible approach to study using a range of optional subject-specific vocational units in horticulture, environmental and animal care combined with units in learning skills and ‘green’ units. This qualification represents the first step in a clear progression route through to vocational learning or higher education.
